I just watched it, I had never seen it before.

It was scary. I liked it alot.

Cindymancini gave it to me....Cindy-did you know that Harley Jane Kozak -who's in that movie-she was born in Wilkes-Barre.

I liked the whole cast. Eileen Davidson is in it.

It is from 1983, so I really liked their clothes.

The woman that plays Mrs. Slater is pretty creepy-I thought maybe she had been in other stuff...but most of the cast of this movie were never in anything else.

I thought it was really creepy, especially at the beginning with the whole prank and everything that happened with that, it seemed really realistic.

If it would have been night time I would have been freaked. It's a good thing I watched it during the day time.

I thought it was pretty original....talk about freaky clowns...this one had the king of all freaky clowns in it.

I definately recommend watching it.

I liked the girl who played Katherine.

I liked the whole beginning, the way it was filmed with them getting ready to leave the sorority because of graduation...I liked how they did that.

Has anyone else seen it??

It had some gruesome death scenes.

It's one of those movies I've always wanted to see. Is it really good? I always wanted to see that one called "The Dorm That Dripped Blood." I think that was the name of it.

Yeah...it was really good. (But, that's my opinion). I liked it, and wanna watch it again.

It was a believable story line, to an extent...

I had a couple unanswered questions.

The whole thing that freaked me out was the swimming pool stuff...that was really scary...and the murder weapon was completely unique and one I had never seen used in any other movie ever.

From what I remember it was sort of like BLACK CHRISTMAS. There was a psycho dude living in the attic.

DONT bother with DORM THAT DRIPPED BLOOD. That one was totally lame. You should read the reviews for it on www.imdb.com before bothering to watch it.

I'm glad you liked it Isis! I was psyched when I found it a couple of months ago. I loved the whole look of it, including the clothes and hair. It was perfect 1983 style! I was shocked to see such a young Eileen Davidson. She is on my soap The Young & The Restless so I was taken aback to see her naked! This is definitely one that will be in my top 20 favorite horror flicks. I think the cover art on the dvd needs to be updated. I saw one version with this for a cover. And here's a few pics from the movie.

Watched The House on Sorority Row.
It was a good slasher flick.

The opening scene music score (by Richard Band) was great
and i also liked the band 4 Out of 5 Doctors which played at the party.

I saw The Dorm That Dripped Blood a loooong time ago on video. I'm not a fan of slasher movies, but for some reason I like this one. I liked the isolated, dark atmosphere of the building in this movie, even though it looks nothing like a college dorm. It was also a treat to see Daphne Zuniga in an early role, although it was mercifully brief. I'd rate it ** 1/2 out of ***** stars.

Synapse is supposed to be releasing The Dorm that Dripped Blood March 8th as a DVD/Blu-Ray combo. It will contain the directors' cut (two guys directed this movie, Jeff Obrow and Steve Carpenter) and lots of other goodies. Here's more info about this upcoming release

Zach.. here's my reboot on "The House on Sorority Row".

 -

"The House on Sorority Row" is a stylishly-filmed 80's slasher film. The plot focuses on a group of sorority sisters who have just graduated from college, but before they leave for the summer they are planning one final sorority house bash. However, their ederly house mother is totally against it and she demands that they all leave the house at once. Annoyed by the house mother's demands.. they decide to play a prank on her, but it goes awry and she winds up dead. Panicking, the girls try to hide the body.. okay, while this movie follows all the rules of 80's slashers, it is still kind of unique and fun to watch.

 -

Kate McNeil was excellent as Katherine and it just felt like she should have been in more entertaining movies in the 80's. Her character was the moral conscience of the audience and it helped make the movie more believable.

 -

And "Young & the Restless" fans will enjoy seeing a very young Eileen Davidson. Also, most people will recognize Harley Jane Kozak from the C. Thomas Howell flick "Side Out".

 -

The real reason to watch "The House on Sorority Row" is for the awesome 80's party. The fashion, the music, and of course the party band called '4 out of 5 Doctors'.

While this flick played it serious most of the time, there was enough humor to keep me entertained. Best laugh was the trash bin into the Police car moment.

 -

Oh and similar to "April Fool's Day" beware of freaky looking clown-in-the-box!

 -

The director did an outstanding job of making the movie visually appealing. The pic above with all the colors is a perfect example.

The premise of this flick has been used several times since with even a recent remake titled "Sorority Row", but I prefer this version best.

I've always felt that "The Dorm That Dripped Blood" had a wicked name, but the movie just couldn't live up to it. And as Zach mentioned .. Daphne Zuniga just wasn't in it long enough.

 -

On the flipside, I do recommend seeking out "The Initiation" with Daphne Zuniga from 1984.
