I saw a preview for it today too....I always was freaked out by this movie. It was so scary. I could never believe how good the special effects were, when the Entity attacked Barbara Hershey. I thought the acting was really good. I always liked Ron Silver as an actor. I remember when I first saw this movie on HBO in the 80's...I could not believe it was based on a true story.

This is another I just watched maybe a couple of months ago. Hershey was great in this flick. It was very freaky during some of those rape scenes....very disturbing. I love the paranormal, so this movie was right up my alley.

That rape scene was horrible...and very graphic. I hate stuff like that. Paranormal stuff freaks me out, because I have come to believe that my own house is haunted...and I never use to believe in stuff like that before I moved here. Too many unexplainable things have happened here that other people have been a witness to.

You should call T.A.P.S....They'll get to the bottom of it.

I heard about them when I was in Gettysburg. If I really have a ghost...it's a friendly ghost...and I don't want to rock the boat.

Wow, ghosts freak me out too. I believe I saw one once in my lifetimes, my cousins were luckily witnesses as well.

Your stories sound really interesting Isis. Tell us what happened, or make a new thread about paranormal experiences.

I thought I did talk about it before. I thought I posted a picture of the tombstone that we dug up under our house when we were building on an addition a few years ago.

I have all kinds of weird electrical stories. I have a really weird one with my dryer.

Whenever guests come here, something always happens. The one and only time I have ever seen a snake here, was when my very first couple stayed here, when we opened. It looked like a rattle snake, but I think it was a corn snake or rat snake, and my husband chased it away with a broom. It never came back.

The man who found the tombstone here...within that same week, he hit a girl with his truck, and almost killed her...she ran out in front of him at the post office, she did fracture her leg and shoulder and was pretty messed up...so that was weird.

I heard stories about stuff that happened here before I lived here...there's a book about my town and my house, and the author brought me a copy, and he told me a story about a man who lived here for 40 years before us, he was trying to quit smoking, but he would sneek out to his truck to smoke so nobody saw him, well he fell asleep and woke up and the whole inside of his truck was on fire. He ran for help, the fire burned the brake cables and the truck rolled down the driveway and landed on the author of the book-his mother's car-she lived across the street, and then it burst in to flames, and then the guy had a heart attack from the stress....but it didn't kill him.

Also, we heard that a snake had gotten in this house, and the previous people had a dog that had a nervous breakdown because of the snake...we never knew that. But, my son swears that he opened our closet door downstairs, and heard a dog growling...it freaked him out....and then it was after that...that we heard the story about the dog and the snake.

There's lots of stuff.

Before we built the addition for my mom, she was sleeping in one of the guest rooms, she woke us all up screaming one night, and she had run in to the hallway...she swore that someone was in the bed with her and had grabbed her.

That happened in her new room too, she was laying in bed and the entire bed shook, for about a minute, she thought I had come in and jumped on the bed, but she realized that nobody was there.

I thought I saw a man in my mom's bathroom..one day when I was here alone, and I was so scared, then I looked and there was nobody there, but I could have swore there was, and I even called my mom where she was working and told her about it.

When we first moved here...I had a problem with my neighbors parking in my driveway...they would block me in, well one time I had enough and called the police, and the police called them and said to move their car before they towed them, so when I went to leave with my son...my neighbor called me a witch...and that night...her son and his jerky friends were standing outside on the porch giving me dirty looks...I didn't know any of them. My son was only 9 then...and it scared me.

I came in the house and was upstairs, and I heard a huge crashing sound, I thought that they had broken in to my house or smashed my window out. I grabbed my son, and was ready to run out the front door, but I turned and looked in my living room, and an antique picture that I just brought home from the antique shop ...the wire on the back broke and it knocked everything off the mantel, and the glasses shattered everywhere.

But...what was even more crazy...was right after the neighbor called me a witch...within a month's time, 2 trees fell on their house and caved it in. The first time it landed on the hood of her car...if she had been parked in my parking space her car would have been crushed...all it did was damage a corner board on my carport.

But then within a month...a huge tree-about 200 years old...landed on her house...they are lucky they were not killed....it was very freaky. I have the pictures.

There has been so much, at times I think I should write a book.
