Lets play ---- OR -----?

We have to take two 80s favorites and pit them against eachother.

They can be from different movies/tv shows/bands but lets get started by using some that were in the same thing together okay?

PRETTY IN PINK : Blaine OR Ducky?

Amanda Vs Watts

Depends on what you want them to do. as a drummer, Watts every time. As a love interest, I couldn't get between them (although I'd have a damn good try and a lot of fun doing so!)

In a fight? Watts is scrawny and muscular, but Amanda has the advantage of height, weight and intensity.

Hell, as long as it went the full 15 rounds, I don't care who actually won.... [Big Grin]

Here's one for you:

Overdog or John Bender?

Paul,

Come on now, Watts is a "street" girl. She would kick the crap out of Amanda. Hey, a good cat fight is hard to find. [Big Grin]

Who the heck is Overdog?

jdoc, you know Overdog right? I mean who isn't on top of "Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone" trivia?

So what you're really trying to say is stick with Barry Manilow's wardrobe and go with Bender.

Tommy from "Valley Girl" or Greg Tolan from "Just One of the Guys"

Disagree - they are like strawberry cream (Watts) and hazelnut fondant (AJ) - Watts has the hard shell but at the end of the movie she's blubbing like a baby. Whereas Amanda, who on the outside is all fluffy, has a heart of steel.

I reckon their true characters are the opposite of what you see for most of the movie - it's only really the last 5 minutes that show what they are like inside, and that's what counts in a toe-to-toe brawl......

Okay so far I say

Ducky all the way

Watts but only by a little - I really did like them both

Tommy from VALLEY GIRL (Greg from JUST ONE OF THE GUYS was a funnier villain overall, but I wouldnt have fallen for his douchebaggery for one minute, where Tommy was sneakily charming- yeah, I might have falled for that (like Loryn did!)

I didnt know who Overdog was either. Was that cleared up for us yet? Well, whatever...I like Bender anyway cuz he was like an old M & M you find in your sofa cushions : hard and nasty on the outside but the middle still has a sort of sweetness to it!

I'm still thinking how that Amdanda vs. Watts fight would pan out thanks to Paul's mad "culinary ringside" analysis, in fact, its thrown me from focsuing on the questions at hand.

Indiana Jones or Han Solo?

Watts would kick Amanda's a$$. I would rather see them mud-wrestle. [Big Grin]

Indy or Solo....tough one. Probably Indy because Solo is too much of a clown.

Is anyone else concerned that mamamiasweetpeaches is eating crusty M&Ms that she is finding in her couch and that she apparently has forgotten 'that stuff tastes like Clorox"?

Ok that was borderline offensive and I apologize mamamiasweetpeaches. But great analysis of both Bender and Tommy.

CLOROX. Bahahahahaha!

Indiana Jones Vs Han Solo? Thats a tuff one. Gee, they sorta even LOOK alike! *

Whose cooler? Indy!

Who'd win in a fight? Indy!

Whose movies do I prefer: Indy!(not thats Han's are anything to sneeze at)

Whow as sexier? well, they both were mad sexy but Indy was DIRTY and sexy so he wins this round

Who would I rather do?: Indy!

So Indy wins hans down (pun intended)

* Yes, I am aware they look alike because they are both played by the same actor. Just cuz I eat old M & M s and drink CLOROX I'm not a total idiot.

adding scrappy doo to the cartoon is the equivalent of adding a baby to a sitcom. it signals certain death.

indy over han(though that was tough)
don't know overdog or bender
greg tolan over tommy
douchebaggery IS a funny word
clorox isn't THAT bad
terminator over robocop
marty over ferris
vernon over rooney(took me a while to figure out who they were. sorry.)
scooby way over scrappy

dallas OR richie OR moody

I think what xchazx is trying to say is that adding Scrappy Doo to Scooby Doo is like adding Oliver to the Brady Bunch.

Double 'NowhereGirl' ouch!

Wow...this a cool topic...

Indy over Hans

Vernon over Rooney

Scooby Over Scrappy

Tommy over Greg

I really wouldn't want to end up with either Duckie or Blaine.

Marty over Ferris

Amanda over Watts

Terminator over Robocop

How about:

Sodapop Curtis OR Dally Winston?

Phoebe Cates OR Betsy Russell in Private School?
