I was wondering if anyone might know the name of an old obscure martial arts movie that aired on cable for a while. It either played on HBO, Showtime, or The Movie Channel. All I can remember is that it was about this guy who got a group of people together and I think they went on a journey or mission. I do remember one point there was a guy levitating while he was meditating.

Wow, I just asked this same topic not less than 2 or 3 months ago when it was buring a hole in my brain "What the hell was that movie CALLED again...".

The movie you are asking about (and yeah I saw it on HBO or Cinemax too) is KILL AND KILL AGAIN.

http://filmjournal.net/mjocallaghan/2007/04/29/kill-and-kill-again-1981/

The guy who levitated was THE FLY, and he only used his feet, never his hands, for anything. Then there was the crazy strong black guy, the drunk 'weapons guy' who was playing russian roulette with a group of guys by throwing a loaded pistol up in the air...and it also had possibly the worst fake-bearded villian ever.

I would love to see Kill Or Be Killed (1980) and
Kill And Kill Again (1981) flicks again.

I loved these when i was young,
they were so OTT [Big Grin]

I can confess I saw Kill and Kill Again about 300 times on HBO/Cinemax/The Movie Channel (along with other faves Megaforce and Super Fuzz, whos theme song sticks with me to this day).....but I never once saw the original, Kill or Be Killed.

This was about the time when BLACK BELT magazine was just about the coolest thing a kid could carry to school, short of a Playboy or Penthouse anyways. Staring at the ads in the back and wondering how many Nunchucks, Sai's and Throwing Stars we'd buy.........if we had any money and our parents wouldn't throw us out, anyhow [Big Grin]

Man, I've seen kill or be killed many many times. When it came out I saw it at the theater like 5 times, then, later on HBO.... heheee... [Smile]
