i was waching some episodes of Facts of Life season one, when the girl cast was bigger than the four that made the show famous. I guess it was one of Molly's first roles on the show, you just couldn't get an inkling of what was to come later being the bat pack 80's icon. She was even in the cast of Annie wasn't she?

Yep you're right Riptide...I don't think anyone saw her impending stardom coming down the pike, obviously not NBC cause they let her go. I personally loved the first season of FOL. I liked the additional characters like Molly, Sue Ann, Nancy and Cindy.

As for Annie, I'm not sure. Are you talking about the movie version? I know both Meredith Salenger and Amanda Peterson were in the film version with Aileen Quinn. They were both orphans...so cool!!

I remember her from the movie Tempest, Her first I think. Then, I remember seeing her in "Spacehunter" with Peter Strauss. There was this scene where he made her take a bath because she stunk... Next thing I knew, she was a big star. There will never be another Molly Ringwald.

I think I've watched all the early Molly movies, even one called Packin it in where she plays kind of a valley girl. PK and the kid as well, she had kind of a tomboy thing going on in Spacehunter and Tempest, a far cry from the glam that came later. As far as the Annie movie, I'm pretty sure she was an extra, I even think the singer Martika was too, will have to check that out..

Has anyone else seen the movie "Surviving" it has Molly Ringwald, Zach Galligan, Marsha Mason, River Phoenix, and Heather O'Rourke in it.

It is about teen suicide. It really is a good movie, but it is one of the saddest movies I have ever seen.

Molly is about the age she was when she did Sixteen Candles, because she looks exactly the same.

I think it was a made for TV movie...I have it on VHS, and would like to get it on DVD. It is so hard to watch though.

I loved the first season of Facts of Life too. I loved Tootie when she rollerskated every where.
I loved Blair's clothes in the first season.

Lisa Whelchel has her own website now. She does scrapbooking, and has copies of her own journals on her website for fans to read. She pretty much has made her life an open book to the public.

I just ordered the first season of FACTS OF LIFE (actually the way it came packaged its the first TWO seasons...I guess they knew a lot of people would want "the Jo episodes" which were MY favorite personally.....)the first episode is SO dreadful! hahaha. I think they wanna imply Cindy is gay...but seeing that its the 80s they totally dont "go there" and be brutally honest about it. I never liked all those girls (Molly was pretty bad back then) and preferred The Jo Years. I cant wait to spring this show on my daughter!

And yeah...I totally remember that movie where Zach Galligan calls Molly Ringwald "tulip"! I watched it the night it premiered on television...and cryed!!!!
