I LOVE watching movies in the summer....

Late on a hot summer night....it was so much fun when I was a kid...and we stayed up all night watching movies...and sleeping out in the yard...there was always an awesome movie on HBO in the 80's....

I love camp movies like Little Darlings and Meatballs....

my favorite summer movies are probably Summer School and Hardbodies...but any 80's movie will do.

I am having a hard time figuring out what I want to watch tonight....I can't believe June is here....we have gorgeous weather...so it's the perfect time to be staying up late and watching a good movie...gosh knows there's nothing good on regular TV, fer shur.

So, I might have to flip a coin to see what I am going to end up with tonight.

hmmm... I actually prefer watching movies during the cold winter months. When it gets dark early and it's too cold to go outside.

During the summertime, it we have daylight until around 11 p.m., so everybody enjoys the long evenings and hangs out outdoors.

Movies I'm definitely going to watch in the next few weeks are

- Karate Kid I (there's something so 80s about hanging out on the beach with friends and your tape recorder (um, what's that called??))

- Co*ktail (come on - it's Jamaica! [Cool] )

- Licence to Drive (somehow I associate that movie with summer)

EDIT: oh, forgot this one:

Nightmare on Elm Street I!
The last time I watched this was at a slumber party in 1988, so I'm really looking forward to this! [Big Grin]

I like to hang outside during the summer too...always did...back in the 80's I never had to get up early for anything ...so I could stay up all night watching movies...it was too darn hot to sleep...because we never had air conditioning back then....so we laid downstairs on the couch, with all the windows and doors hanging open...(people don't do that much anymore)....but now I still love to stay up really late watching movies...the other night Halloween 2 was on...I had to watch it.

I am going to try watching the House by the Cemetery right now.

Good ideas...

Maybe I'll watch the Nightmare on Elm Street series. Then, Back To The Future series, Indiana Jones series... I'll have to gather a list of 80s summer or beach movies... [Smile]
