I remember seeing this movie in the 80s, though might be earlier and I can only just remember certain elements from the movie.

- I recall toys (A soldier and a doll/ballerina) climbing up/down giants stairs, either trying to achieve a goal by a certain time or escaping someone.
- The soldier and doll/ballerina were played by adults.
- A evil Santa Claus.
- A furnace (possibly used to burn toys)
- Movie was in colour, I don't believe this was an animation.
- This was kids movie, not a adult horror.

Unfortuntely that's all I can remember. I thought it might have been Babes in Toyland, the original one, as I feel the movie might have been from that era but it wasn't to be.

If anyone can help, that would be great, Cheers.

Woohoo! Many thanks for your help!

Managed to pick up an unofficial dvd on eBay and it's definitely the film I was looking for.

Damn, this movie still rocks!
