Anyone else like them? The original was really, really good, in my opinion. For some reason, I found the record that they played backwards all the time to be really creepy. I'm sure I wouldn't now, though. The second one wasn't so good. I still have my VHS copy of the original. I used to watch it at least once a month. I had forgotten about it till I found it on my shelf yesterday. Guess I'll have to dust off the old VCR and watch it.

I never saw the 2nd one, I saw the orginial: The Gate at the movies in 1987. I remember it very well, cause the little boy in it reminded me of my brother. I bought it on DVD, but have yet to get through watching it...there are really creepy parts of that movie, that I think should have gotten it an R rating.

I remember going to see The Gate at the movie theater and me and my friend, Heidi, were the only people in the whole theater. That was the first movie that I saw where no one else in the movies. I can kind of understand why, it was a bit corny. It is amazing at some of the films that got a wide release back then.

I don't think I have ever seen the 2nd one. It would be intersting to see if those actors from the first one ever went onto anything else. I vaguely remember the sister she kind of looked like this girl that I went to high school with.

I have The Gate on DVD. I thought it was cool. I didn't even know there was a sequel. I want to get Warlock and Witchboard on dvd also.

Louis Tripp was the only one who was in the second one. And it was made in like 1990 or 1991.

I really loved The Gate, it was pretty scary at the time. I didn't really enjoy the sequel though.

I watched The Gate again a couple of years ago and I still enjoyed it, even the crappy effects that I thought were really cool all those years ago!
