This movie came out either in the late 70's or in the 80's. I remember seeing it on TV all the time in the mid 80's and am not sure if it was a feature flick or a made for TV movie. The story is there is this group of kids that think there is some sort of loch ness type monster in a local pond and nobody believe them and such. Toward the end of the movie two of the kids rig up a scuba mask with a garden hose to try dive down and see what it is. At the end they find out that it was an old backhoe type machine in the pond and ever so often after air coming up from the bottom of the lake fills the backhoe part it rises to the surface expells the air and disappears making the appearance of some sort of monster. I remember they referred to it as a "Donkengine".. WHAT IS THIS MOVIE???? thanks!!!

It has 3 titles depending on which country you're in: Frog Dreaming (Australia, the original name), The Go-Kids (UK) and The Quest (US), it stars a young Henry Thomas of ET fame.
