I watched this movie last night...thanks cindymancini!!

I really liked it alot. I loved the first dance sequence on Dance TV where they all had denim mini skirts on and fluroscent tank shirts and the wrap around belts...I loved the little hand jive type dance move they did.

It made me remember how cool watching people dance on TV was...like watching the Solid Gold dancers and Dance Fever. Everyone wanted to be a dancer.

Lee Montgomery who played Jeff...looked so much like Joey Lawerence.

I liked the scene where they were dancing outside...and they did back flips down the hill...that was a cute scene.

The girl who played Natalie was really pretty...I never saw her in anything before...I liked some of her clothes though....like the outfit she had on when she came out of the dance studio and Jeff was on his motorcycle, she had white shorts on and white high heeled boots, and a big puffy jacket...I loved those clothes!

I thought the story didn't connect the characters very well though...like it didn't really let them develop friendships it was more like they were just thrown in there anywhere they could put them.

It was funny to see Kristi Sommers in something else too...since I remembered her from Tomboy and Hardbodies, but I never liked her in anything.

I LOVE the song "Dancing in Heaven" by Orbital Be-Bop...that is a great 80's song...that was a great song for them to dance to. I loved the end dance sequences.

It is totally cool to watch it just for all the dancing.

I love it when I see a movie from the 80's that I have never seen before...I can't believe I missed that one in the 80's.

I forgot to add that Helen Hunt and Sara Jessica Parker were totally cute in this movie...I loved their clothes.

My son is watching the Miami Vice marathon going on right now...and I still think the 80's fashion is the coolest. People really put alot of effort in to their clothes and what they looked like. I can't believe that more people don't miss that.

I loved in Girls Just Want to Have Fun how they wore the mini skirt outfits...there were so many different hair styles...beside the big permed hair...Helen Hunt's hair was straight and cut really cute...it was about shoulder length and I remember her hair style in the 80's too.

Sarah Jessica Parker was really cute in this movie...I never ever thought she was very good looking...but when she had a bunch of make up on and her hair was real curly at the end dance scene she looked really good. I liked her school girl outfit.

Jessie, did you ever see Rich Girl with Jill Schoelen?? Or : Curse 2-The Bite?? How about: Out of Control with Betsy Russell???

There are lots that I want to see that I have never seen...that actually is the coolest part of being a part of The Rewind...is finding all these movies I missed out on in the 80's. I saw alot...but there just were so many lower budget movies...and these are the kind they don't make any more...that are just about nothing...but a bunch of kids doing something...it doesn't matter what it is...if the characters are cool, the clothes are cool...and they have to throw in some rich people.... then they got a cool movie.

This is one of my all-time favorite movies. I found it on DVD, at Wal-mart, maybe, a couple years ago and bought it. Back in the day when we used to rent movies at the video store, I rented it almost every weekend.

I liked this movie, Isis is right, it ranks high on the 80'someter with the clothes, fashions, and music. And it also featured some very young future TV stars like Parker, Hunt and Doherty. Beleive it or not, I actually lost on e-bay a few years ago a Q-Feel cd, in which I was interested in hearing the other stuff they did instead of Dancing in Heaven.

Is that based on the Cyndi Lauper song?

They play the Cyndi Lauper song through out the movie.

The song playing at the beginning when they are all dancing on D. TV that was a cool song too.

I definately would watch it again.

It was really cool, when Jeff and Jamie were talking on the phone...and he went and he waited for her to practice dancing, cause her brother grabbed the phone and drug it away, and it hung up on him...and she couldn't tell him not to go...but that's the kind of stuff that makes a movie seem real...cause I can totally picture my little brother doing stuff like that to me...when people called for me. I swear all girls my age had younger brother's and all boys have younger sisters, because it always seems reversed.
