I havent seen CHRISTINE in awhile so I ordered the DVD. Maybe I'll watch it tonight.
This movie was pretty good, but I don't remember actually being scared. I mean...IT'S A CAR! (Hahaha) But I guess I like how the kid in it starts out a dork and then gets sort of cool and then gets "power mad" (because he knows CHRISTINE will kick the a** of anyone who messes with him).
It's Halloween so this is the time of year I start thinking of Stephen King movies (My favorites are THE SHINING, CARRIE and MISERY).

Oh I love this one. If you will watch the film closely on DVD you will notice that it seems that the camera moves faster than the characters do??? I am not sure what that is all about or if it got remastered.

OH I am starting to get into the Halloween watching mood. I have Christine, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and What Lies Beneath. But I really want to watch the gorey stuff. I wish I had Children of the Corn because it scared the you know what out of me when I first say it all of the way through in the early 90s. Malachi was freaky and so was the little preacher looking kid, oh so weird!!

I have Children of the Corn! That was my favorite movie when I was little. The idea that children could be that evil is just creepy. I have Christine and The Shining on DVD, too. I liked Pet Sematary as well. I haven't seen Children of the Corn for a few years. Maybe I'll watch it.

I think Cujo is my favorite Steven King movie...and then Carrie....and then maybe Christine...I remember watching Christine in high school with a bunch of my friends out at my Grandparents house. We had a blast.

I always considered this one more of a broad satire than anything else, Quentin Tarantino is doing what sounds like remake of 'Christine' for the upcoming 'Grindhouse' (like 'Creepshow') collaboration with Rob Rodregiuez.

Favourite Stephen King movies have to be 'The Shining' 'Salem's Lot' series, I'm surprised no one's ever adapted 'Beachworld' (a short in King's 'Skeleton Crew' anthology) its a great little story about two astronauts stranded on an empty planet.

It's funny I kind of like all Stephen King movies, yes even the TommyKnockers!,although I find his books terrible the only one I have enjoyed reading was Misery.

What do you guys think of the Mini series productions? I thought The Stand was good but The Shining was dreadful. I don't know if it is because I couldn't get Jack Nicklson out of my mind or becaue it followed the book too well, the moving topery was laughable.

I actually gave my all to trying to catch all of THE STAND. I really found myself liking it in the beginning and then losing interest as it went on. I might have actually appreciated if he scaled it down to, say, a three hour movie.

And after that he sort of went nuts with TV movie mini series' , didnt he?

I TRYED to watch THE SHINING and couldnt. Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall (and, heck , even Danny Lloyd) will foreever be THE SHINING family to me! I couldnt buy the other cast for a minute and could see no big "improvements" in the story telling.

I didnt even try to watch ROSE RED. Did anyone see that one?

What was the one with the people on the airplane? (I think Bronsons Pinchot was The Bad Guy)...I saw some of that one but not all...lost my patience with it.

The TV version of CARRIE succccked!

I also hated DREAM CATCHER, not a "made for TV' but a terrible, plotty gross out one he did about aliens bursting out of peoples butts!

Rose Red wasn't half bad. I liked Storm of the Century.
