Looking at my VHS/DVD collection tonight, surprised how many movies I bought based on the actor/actess which actually took priority over if the movie was actually good or not. These are the ones who I bought their movies, even total bombs and flops. I guess it also helps when someone has a short career and doesn't have many movies.

I am on a mission to get all C Thomas Howell's 80's movies. I dont like many from the nineties that he is in. As a matter of fact I wouldnt mind to have all the actors from the Outsiders movies at least their early stuff.

I can totally relate to what you're saying. I get super curious to see other less known movies by my favorite 80's actors/actresses. I have been let down though. I bought Fatal Charm and Listen to Me because of Amanda Peterson and didn't really like either. I checked out Cheerleader Camp and Tomboy for Betsy Russell and those didn't work for me. Date with an Angel with Phoebe Cates was just too weird for my taste. Out of Bounds with Anthony Michael Hall and Jenny Wright didn't draw me in either.
Happysunshine, did you see C. Thomas in The Hitcher? I just bought the DVD. I hope it's good...

I always wanted to get Date with an Angel on DVD, but you say it's weird? I think I still have six of Phoebe Cates's movies I have yet to watch. As for Out of Bounds, I really liked the villain in it, a true baddie, I also liked Jenny Wright's wacky 80's outfits and the design of her room. I will have to give a few more insights of movies I seeked out for the actors and had mixed results.

I haven't tought about it that way! I just buy 80's movies, I mean if it have Molly, and others that's a plus for me! I bought once The Rachel Papers because it had Ione Skye and James Spader but didn't work for me!

I love the movie Out of Bounds. I buy movies all the time because of the actor in them.
Ones I look for are:
Betsy Russell Melody Anderson Deborah Foreman Jill Schoelen Zach Galligan Catherine Mary Stewart Phoebe Cates Sam Jones Reb Brown Scott Baio Rob Lowe
Everyone has done a few that stunk, but overall I have liked almost every movie they have done...just cause I like seeing them in it.
