As you can see it stars two WELL know Actors...and it also featured some actors who went on to because very famous. COLORS was also directed by Dennis Hopper another big name actor. This movie showed the world, the BIG Problem (LA) was having with the BLOODs & CRIPS in the late '80s in Cali. Sean Penn played a rouge cop named "Pac-Man",this movie show the mature level of acting of Sean Penn. I mean this is the same guy who played Jeff Spicoli but you would'nt believe that this was the same guy.

Have any of you seen this film????
And if so what did you think about it???

I saw it at the movies when it came out. It was pretty cool. And you're right abut Penn. He has good range as an actor. From Jeff Spicoli to Pac-man in colors to his roles in I Am Sam and Mystic River.

I'm a big Bobby Duvall fan, though I like Sean Penn too especially when he pumps iron in this movie!

Guy who played one of the hoods was Jesus from "Hill Street Blues"...Trinidad Silva, killed by a drunk driver right after this movie came out.

Funny story about this film. The only time I saw it was in the late 80s. I remember being in Kansas City with my cousin and we snuck out of the house and went to this girl's house where this guy was going to be that she liked. It was playing on TV, either video or HBO or something. I don't remember too much about it because I was scared you know what of getting caught over there where we weren't supposed to be.

Thanks Bionic Bigfoot,Hipstermom27 & JLP937 [Smile] I figured once people saw this topic nobody was going to reply. I just assume that nobody on here would watch that type of movie.....guess you guys fooled me [Big Grin]

My favorite part of the movie was...when all the Bloods & Crips was locked up together in jail, but in different cells. All the Bloods was in one cell and all the Crips was in the same cell together. Everybody was cussin' and throwing gang sings at each other...All the while you hear Ice T's song "COLORS". All i have to say is i am down with The BLOODS [Wink]

C.T. this was good movie. My favorite Sean Penn movie besides "Fast Times" is actually "Bad Boys". The pillowcase full of softdrinks was intense. Revenge is a dangerous thing.
