Oh man, I know MANY people who want License To Drive on DVD! (myself included..) Its one of my favorites, a fast-paced 80s comedy like Adventures in Babysitting. LTD is one of those movies I could watch over and over and never get sick of it. If Fox doesn't release it on DVD soon, I'm gonna end up buying a used VHS copy off eBay, like I did with The Wizard.

note: There is often a bootleg License To Drive DVD for auction on eBay..DON'T bid on it! For 2 reasons...
1. Its illegal
2. I hear there are glitches on the disc, and the overall quality supposedly isn't very good

Ive got a copy of License to Drive on DVD from a gentleman on Ebay. The quality was great as it was a LaserDisc that was used to make the copy. Is it illegal? Probably. Do I care? He11 no! Will I buy a legit copy IF it ever makes it to DVD? He11 YES! But I didnt want to buy some crap VHS tape. So when I found it on Ebay I got it along with Night Of The Comet again another copy of a LaserDisc.
Results of a search at Ebay netted the following.

Interesting that there are some Imports in there. Might have to do some bidding [Razz]

I got the laserdisc for $9 but have yet to find out how much postage is to the UK...
My intention is to put it onto PAL format DVD (converting it from the NTSC format it's in) once I have a laserdisc player as I have high quality capture hardware and good knowledge of video converting. Plus some other laserdiscs I want to get my hands on - the original theatrical version of the Star Wars Trilogy (Han Solo shooting first!), Howard the Duck, The Ewok Adventure:Caravan of Courage, Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, The Monster Squad (Japanese widescreen release), Electric Dreams (wanted to bid on a copy earlier but the seller would only ship to the US), and a widescreen version of The Wizard if it exists.
