Well recently there are some news of remakes and sequels that are going to be made. While I know most of us may not be happy with this, I figured we can still get some fun out of it.

Some of the films that are to be made are big screen versions of The A-Team and Dukes of Hazzard. If you were a casting director who would you pick to play the main characters?

For A-Team :

Lt Col. John Hannibal Smith - Mel Gibson
Face- not sure on that one
Murdock- Owen Wilson
B.A. Baracus- nobody can play him except for Mr T.

For DoH :

I like the idea of Owen and Luke Wilson playing the Duke boys
Daisy Duke-
Boss Hog- Marlon Brando haha he looks like him now
Coltrane-
Uncle Jesse_ anyone from ZZTop

Hmmm, my mind is blank right now. I have to really think of who I'd pick for the others. This is hard stuff being a casting director and all! [Smile]

B.A. Barachus should be played by Samuel L Jackson

Daisy Duke by either Britney Spears or Jessica "The Brain" Simpson

I like Kirsten Dunst as Daisy Duke. Jerry Lawler, yes the wrestler as Roscoe P. Coltrane. As for A-Team, Tom Green as Murdoch.

Yeah, Mr Duncan... he would be cool, also I think Ving Rhames (aka Marsellus Wallace Pulp fiction) would be an excellent Mr T.

Riptide, I love your Jerry Lawler suggestion! I also agree with mamamiasweetpeaches that no blonde should play Daisy. I like the Denise Richards suggestion.

I just wanna know who could play Face? That's a hard one!

i think shannon elizabeth would make a good daisy duke, but i dont like the idea of the wilson bros as the duke boys. they just arnt hick enough to pull it off. oh and just as a joke what if for the A-team the got the cast of queer eye for the straight guy . now that would be funny. but i'm just kidding. the real question is who would you cast in a remake of the breakfast club?

That one's a tough question. How can you remake a classic like the BC?

I'm not sure that you could - but if the movie had a strong enough group of characters and plot, is there an obvious reason why it wouldn't have sustained a sequel (even a 20th Anniversary sequel)? I've read some fan fiction that's set years later, and with this they could maybe get the original cast?

As far as casting a remake, the only ones I could think of would be Christina Ricci for Allison, possibly Kiera Knightley for Claire, Tobey Maguire for Brian, Rowan Atkinson for Mr Vernon, and after that I'm a little stuck....

Ok, I heard a rumor...stressing that fact...that they were in talks to do a sequel to Breakfast Club where the kids of the original characters end up in Saturday detention. Word has it that it would be a Network TV release, not in theaters.

It's a travesty! What's next??? Molly Ringwald reprises her role as Samantha Baker, an overworked single mom who forgets her daughter's sixteenth birthday? The hilarity insues.

Going back to the Daisy Duke thing...I think Amanda Peete would be good. IMO, Denise Richards is TOO pretty, and Amanda is cool enough to play a sort of independent girl like Daisy.

'Breakfast Club 2' is about the worst sequel idea since 'Lost Boys 2', as for a remake/ imaginary casting? I'd say Ali Larter (Allison), Evan Rachel Wood (Claire), Josh Hartnet (Emilio), Jason Mewes (Judd), as suggested earlier Toby Maguire (Brian) and Denis Leary (Vernon)

If it would be done right, have John Hughes reprise the movie with the original cast and the original locations....Could be fascinating....
