I'm taking the cue for this topic from an exchange mammamiasweetpeaches and I had on the ending of Pretty in Pink. mammamia said one should write a fan-article on how 15 years later, Andie divorced Blaine and now is with Ducky.
I was wondering if there are any other movie endings which you found kind of unsatisfactory? How would you rewrite them?

There are too many movies that have an ending that needs to be changed, for instance the movie "IT" possibly the worst ending in the history of movies. There are movies that take too long to end, and movies that need a little more explanation at the end like "the Blair Witch Project". Most of your basic 80's movies end the right way. The classics do anyway, but I guess that is what makes them classics.

In a perfect world The Last American Virgin would have ended differently, but I also think that in this case the ending they chose worked for this particular movie.

i completely agree sam. it seems as though the ending just cuts you off, yet.. just like you said, it works.

I always thought the ending to Fresh Horses wasn't the best. Andrew McCarthy and Molly always seems to involve himself in these controversial endings.
