Yep, the remake is not all evil people, looks like it could be part-responsible for a new Blu-Ray / Special Edition release to coincide with its release.

From Ralph Macchio's Twitter:

Today, shooting video commentary extras on Original KK film for new Blu-Ray release! Keep u posted as I find out release date info.
Simply greatest news ever...a video commentary on the original KK!!! Here's to even more goodies if we're really lucky...time to finally give in to Blu-ray I presume. [Karate Kid]

The remake has a release date in June 2010, so the blu ray will probably come out around that same time...Can't wait!

Okay.. I've watched this movie numerous times and something always bothered me about the scene at the beach with Ali_with_an_i and Daniel. Suddenly, like out of nowhere .. Ali says "watch this.." and does a bazooka kick toward the ocean with that soccer ball. What??

Did she see Johnny coming or something?

btw.. the picture is great on the blu-ray, but I'm more impressed by the improved sound.

Of course she seen them coming. she was looking up at them [Smile]

Btw, any one who has the Blu-ray...is there anything interesting or of any significance on the Blu-Pop feature?

Or is just the usual stuff all us die-hards know??
