the_haimster, none of the movies quite live up to the original in my opinion, but if you are a huge fan of the original "Karate Kid" then you will enjoy part II and part III. However, puriest will tell you to stay away from "The Next Karate Kid" with Hilary Swank.

Thats it in a nutshell Valley! - but you know what? I have a secret. I heard so many bad reviews about TNKK that I havent even seen it. i just refuse to watch it - worried it will taint my vision or something...silly really I know *shakes head*

I think both KK 1 and KK II are awesome - but the origional just has that 'magic'. Also, I just always wanted Miyagi to fight Sato - that would have been awesome....but of course the 'rules' (the fact that there was no rules) dictated that it couldnt be..(a dead Miyagi is not a good thing) *sigh*

oohh!! which give me an idea for another thread!

I love the Karate Kid, but also really enjoyed the Karate Kid II and the Karate Kid III. Although i did like the Next Karate Kid with Hilary Swank, and i also have it on DVD its not really in the same league as the Karate Kid with Ralph macchio. I absolutly love the first one, i just love the Cobra Kai, its a right shame they werent in the second one for long.

The original Karate Kid was by far the best. I prefer KKIII next. Mike Barnes was almost as good of a challenger as Johnny. Barnes was soooo ****y! I always wanted to see Barnes fight Johnny.

I'm always changing my mind about which one is better out of The Karate Kid 2 and 3. Right now I prefer the 2nd. They're both brilliant, tho the first will always be the ultimate, just perfect [Smile]

I've watched The Next Karate Kid twice. The second time was just to make sure it really was as bad as I first thought haha [Razz]
