I know it was actually a show from 1999-2000 and only lasted 1 season but it took place in 1980. I have it on DVD and I think it's great. Anyone else love/hate this show?

Ali.. "Freaks and Geeks" was a hilarious show.  Similar to "My So Called Life" and "Veronica Mars" it has developed an underground cult like following since it was cancelled.

I've actually only seen the 12 episodes that aired years ago, I've heard that there are 6 more episodes.  Has anyone seen them?

Oh and similar to "10 Things I Hate About You" always enjoyed the open sequence to Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation".

Yeah I have the entire 1st season on DVD and it has the 6 episodes that were not aired and some cool extras. Such a great show and ahead of it's time,(even though it was about the 80s.

I loved this show. I was really mad when they cancelled it. I could totally relate to all of the characters.

I liked it quite a lot. I really didn't like the ending, but I guess the Producers didn't have a choice but to wrap it up fast. It had great growth potential.

I just recently re-watched this show and I still like it a lot. The humor is so up my alley. In my opinion it was one of the few good things to come out of the early 00s. It was actually the last TV show I liked. Today's shows are just so over-produced and cold and impersonal.

You guys have encouraged me to check them out now....I remember liking it ok at the time they were on tv.....most of the stars have had fairly successful tv and movie careers now huh?

My mom used to watch it and laugh so loud....and she rarely watches tv shows. I remember one time my uncle was talking about how much he loved That 70's Show and my mom was like "oh yeah me too"...and I told her "I think you thinking of Freaks and Geeks" and she fought me "I have no idea what you mean?" haha

"Freaks and Geeks" was a great nostalgic show. I saw it on DVD back in the 200X's, and it truly captured the early '80's era perfectly.

Though I was never a big Dungeons & Dragons fan, I do one episode focused on that game - which was somewhat popular at the time. The kids in the great Netflix series "Stranger Things" also played this game.

For what it's worth, after F&G the beautiful Linda Cardellini went on to play a great role as a nurse in the TV series "ER".

Another great show. Busy Philipps also appeared in it for a while.
