I'm such a Hitch**** fan, I've got a huge DVD collection of his films, probably about 25 of his films. I just wish I could find The Lodger on DVD
My favorites are -

Rear Window - a wheelchair bound man spies on his neighbours and becomes convinced one of them has committed a murder.

Sabotage - a cinema owner is part of a sabotage ring planning to bomb London

Rope - 2 young men strangle a friend, hide his body in their apartment, then invite his friends and family to a dinner party to challenge the "perfection" of their crime.

The Lodger - a family suspect their upstairs lodger is a serial killer.

The 39 Steps - an everyday man becomes involved in a counter espionage ring.

I finally got a copy of Rebecca last week, had never seen it before, but enjoyed it immensely the other night.

So restrained yet powerful, with great performances from all the leads. And of course Mrs Danvers is a new favorite character as she was played by an Australian!

Been watching some Hitchcock again lately. Hadn't seen Marnie in years, forgotten how disturbing that is, really depressing. Very powerful performances. Also rewatched The Trouble With Harry. I can't say it's a bad film, just not really my cup of tea that kind of comedy for an entire film.

Also I watched Frenzy for the first time that was a bit woah in places [Eek!] The tongue hanging out moments were both horrifying and funny. There were some camera shots to die for here [Smile]

Nobody mentioned Foreign Correspondent (1940) either. It's really good.
