I think I will throw in The Great Outdoors this weekend. Always a good vacation/summer movie for me.

Anyone doing anything fun this weekend?

While The Great Outdoors is hardly one of the best things out of the John Hughes screenplay drawer, I've always been kind of endeared by it. It has some really good laughs--and such a great cast. Even when it's not really working, Dan Aykroyd and John Candy always make you smile, two of the best sketch comedians who ever lived together in a movie.

I was hoping to get my patio cleaned up and the outdoor furniture out, and make a fire in the chimnea on Saturday night. However, I don't know if the weather is going to cooperate. I might end up indoors watching movies.

Just re-visited Revenge of the Nerds 2: Nerds In Paradise after a good chunk of time. I think this is still a pretty good flashback flick even though it's not as good as the first movie, obviously.

I took an extra day off work, equaled a 4 day weekend which is always great, saw the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie with the boy, went and watched a lot of American Legion baseball and fastpitch softball(we love that stuff).

Hard to beat Nerds 1 for sure. They had a nerd marathon the other day, all 4 in a row. Anybody seen part 4? My condolensces if you have [Wink]
