Does anyone own a Wii? Can you tell me about it-your likes and dislikes? What games you like? Anyone have any fitness games? I am considering getting one, but I am totally confused on what I need to buy (how many accessories, etc.). It doesn't take a lot to confuse me these days.

I have one. The fitness stuff is great if you have the wii balance board but my family love the party games like Mario Party and Wii Sports.

Great fun when you have friends round and the beer is flowing.

Pitt, we have two at my school. They came with the sports pack, which has bowling, tennis, etc. The kids love it. The bowling is really fun. I don't have one because I don't really have a place to play and move around in.

Recommended, even the basic kit is great.

Get the Wii Play game, cos it comes with an extra remote.

Also, go onto ebay and buy a remote charging station - in the long run it will save you a fortune in batteries. Mine cost about $10 or so.

Here's a current item...

I love it! When we had it in our living room I played it a lot (its now in my basement so the kids have privacy and I dont get on there as often as Id like now).
My favorite is the bowling. Im pretty good at the golf too.
I also like the trivia games like TV TRIVIA (I think thats what its called) and when the beer do flow we like to play THE PRICE IS RIGHT.

My daughter is 11 and her and her friends are really into ROCK BAND now, but Ive never even tryed that one. I have done karaoke with AMERICAN IDOL 2 and BOOGIE SUPERSTAR though , lotta fun.
WI FIT is cool. I should do that more - it lets you know how much you gain or lose and helps you set goals. Im the hula hoop champ on there!

Thanks everyone for your help and tips! I really want to get one now, after hearing so much positive stuff. I was never into video games, but this thing sounds like it is up my alley. I will try the sports I think first. The trivia and Price is Right sounds fun too, mamamia. And thanks Paul for the suggestion of the remote charging station. I will look into it.

We have a Wii too. Obviously I don't tell my customers this, but there is a way to copy games onto a hard drive and play them directly off the hard drive.
Right now our favorite game is PlayStation's Singstar on Wii (yes, PS3 games on Wii)!

Great console, makes up for in controls what it may lack in grpahics (XBox and PS3 have better graphics IMO).

Just getting to grips with Guitar Hero 5 and Resident Evil: The Chronicles.
