I love this show and have now finished all the episodes and movie. I loved Wonderfalls also from the same creator/writer Bryan Fuller.

Great dark and witty humor...awesome characters...He also wrote Pushing Daisies but for some reason I caught it in the middle and couldn't get involved in the story.

Muffy..Dead Like Me was a little to dark for me to enjoy.

However, I thought "Wonder Falls" was a brilliant show. I caught it years ago on HDNet and was so disappointed that there were only four episodes. I heard about a fifth episode, but have yet to see it.

Dead Like Me had several interesting concepts - from life as a reaper to death being unleashed by a frog..

'Dead Like Me' had two main problems: First; the main characters had no purpose. If they have to touch someone to let the gremlins know they need to be killed, then why have them there at all? One of the two is doing a pointless job. Second; the lead actress clearly started the Hollywood starvation diet because she began to look more and more scrawny as the series' went on.

Valley: 'Wonderfalls' had a dozen or so episodes (many didn't air). They're available in a boxed set.

Thanks Logan5.. I have some interest in it, but probably not enough at this point to make the purchase. But great to know that 9 unaired episodes exist.

Good show, I started a thread about it on the 00s board...

Started watching it in reverse (i.e. the movie first and then the series): don't follow it that closely but I liked the premise. Laura Harris was great, wonder why they replaced her in the movie and anything with the brilliant Mandy Patinkin is worth watching, even if he does have a girl's name!

Logan the reapers already know when and where a person is going to die. Thye touch them to release their soul before they die so they won't have to live their death The Gravelings just are there as a sortof sign of death to come. See i'm a geek and have watched all the episodes.

Yes I do agree George got way to thin and she was just tiny anyway. But I loved her humor, tough voice........still looking so sweet to be doing what she was doing.

Jasmine Guy was great as Roxy :spolier: she died because she was a dancer in the 80's and was going to invent legwarmers but her roommate killed her first so she could!

Kash the movie was bad but I had to watch it......I found it lacking too that Laura Harris wasn't in it. Dasiy wasn't as great.

I loved the dark, humor to this show so much.

Yeah... and if we worked in a call center it would be my job to speak into the phone, but your job to dial the numbers. I still think one of them has a pointless job. The 'Gravelings' are just there to make the show more visually entertaining, they serve no narrative purpose.

Hang on... Muffster; before your recent enforced absence, wasn't I also criticising the quality of another TV show you liked? Is this like deja-vu for you?! It's nothing personal I swear!

What's all this "Dead Like Me" chatter..I turned this into a "Wonderfalls" thread several postings back.

You both make good points about a show I think only you 'two' watched.. ha

How did the virus end up on your PC? What did it do? I download stuff all the time, this makes me paranoid!

Only if by "geek" you mean 'class act'. I too own the Wonderfalls set. I bought it on spec because it was a reasonable price. The other episodes are as good as the first four (if I recall correctly). Shame they canceled it.

That's really scary! I don't even want to imagine it happening to me! Did you take it to someone to try and 'save' your data?
