In the early '90s Little Darlings came on TV in the middle of the night when I was having a sleepover. I was about 13 and my friend wanted to copy the idea from the movie and challenged me to "the bet". I declined, though. Anyway, have '80s movies ever inspired you to act some way, try something or make something from a movie?

Good thread!

I believe that almost every film makes you want to do things you just saw when you´re a kid.
Check out Revenge of the Ninja and you want to be Kosugi. American Ninja makes you want to kick your friends butt like Dudikoff [Big Grin]

I remember we played "Halloween" during the wintertime.
My older brother was Michael Myers and we threw snowballs at him and he just wouldn´t die. He did fall for a few seconds and then the hunt continued [Big Grin]
I remember the panic so maybe today they wouldn´t let kids play that kind of stuff. And yes, i know that we were too young when we saw the Halloween films first time.

Also, my neighbor had a Rambo knife so of course we went into the nearest forest and wanted to be Rambo [Smile] These are only two examples.

Maybe if you had added a few stones into the snowballs beforehand Atomik that might have stopped Michael Myers from keep getting back up again! [Big Grin]

Does American Gladiators count? We set up our own version of the eliminator and would take turns being the contestant vs the three gladiators placed in the course. It was a blast!

Gosh, I have to think there are a ton of these. We made ghostbusters gear out of our toys and would sweep the house for ghosts. Lots of recreations of Karate Kid. I'll have to think about this more and see if I can think of any other ones.

Me and my older cousin made some ninja throwing stars and tested them out on our wooden garage-door.

Needless to say my dad wasn't too pleased. [Big Grin]

I love Little Darlings, I am friends with Krista Erickson who is in it, and I was thinking of doing an all girls slumber party with her at my house, and we do a showing of the movie, and have a "camp theme" and get T shirts made up with a Fake Camp name on them, and give each other makeovers.

I dressed up as Rambo for Halloween once- does that count? My boyfriend at the time dressed up as an old woman with over the top makeup, lol. I did the makeup for him. I was also into karate at the time, so when some guy started harassing me about it, I gave him a nice back kick into a door. He shut up for the rest of the night.
