Devolution here,

After the second day of Dancing, I think that unfortunately, Martina is going to go home. I think that the first night high had gotten to everyone, and many of them came back down to earth.

The biggest problem with Dancing with the Stars is that people that aren't famous (here in the US) get killed by the vote right around week 7. That blond from the UK is amazing. But she is going to need help soon.

We are DEVO

That'd be Katherine Jenkins, a very good classical/operatic singer. She's trying to break into the music industry stateside, and as a result has no real connection yet with the audience. Which is a shame, because she's not only a good dancer (and therefore reliant on the judges to put her in a relatively safe position before the public votes are counted) but a real good singer.

Her main target ought to be making that impression on the public and getting them to recognise and like her - then they will be more likely to vote for her.

I think Jenkins is terrific. I am liking the whole cast this time around.

Possible spoiler***

Sad about Martina. Love her as a tennis player and was excited for her to be on the show. But she didn't do well a all.

Ha..Cheryl and Mr. Big Stuff look great, and there are a lot of good dancers this season.

Always good to see Maks [Wink] [Big Grin]

Katherine Jenkins is doing fantastic so far!

Drew Lachey will always be my fav partner for Cheryl, but Mr. Big Stuff is entertaining. [Big Grin]

Thought it was awesome when Gladys Knight said she used to dance with James Brown on stage.

I mean Urkel went from totally chic on night 1, to totally geek on night 2. But dig on that shirt!

I kinda agree with Devo that the best dancers don't always win because they are usually fairly unknown to the DWTS core audience.. the show really shouldn't technically be called "Dancing with the Stars" either in my opinion.

Ha.. they are trying to appeal to different age groups and different types of fans.., sports...news... old 80s actors..ya know.. [Razz]

But I agree, the dancers are pretty much stars, themselves.
