I saw a preview for this in the movie theater. It does look good.

I guess he beat the pancreatic cancer. Good for Swayze!

Wait, it looks like he's still fighting it...

Best of luck Patrick!

Looks quite good, Swayze never capitalised on his post Ghost fame, I seem to recall he was playing a corrupt cop in some rap video about two years ago, with Ja Rule if I remember correctly.

I always liked him, thought he deserved better than what was given to him after Ghost, stuff like Father Hood, Wong Foo etc. Is he terminally ill? I heard there wasn't much of a chance of survival with pancreatic cancer.

Well, most people who have pancreatic cancer die from it, but if you look at some of the info surrounding Swayze's case, they caught it early and the prognosis is good.

I think that was more his fault. After Ghost he was a hot property and one of the most in-demand stars in town. He had his pick of a lot of great roles, but he just chose some bad ones (City of Joy, Father Hood, etc.) and his career suffered for it. He did the same thing after Dirty Dancing, chosing to do Steel Dawn and Tiger Warsaw when better parts were available. He also had some issues with alcohol and went into semi-retirement for a time in the '90s which are also partly to blame for his career waning.
