I'm a big Idol fan, and this year's contestants seem to be pretty good. Or, at least the guys are. I'm not sold on the girls yet. I have become a big fan of David Cook and Michael Johns, who are more "rockerish" than the others. Anyone else?

I like Ramiele Malubay and Michael Johns. And David Hernandez is really starting to grow on me.

I agree, those who have gone home have deserved to go, none more, IMO, than Danny!

Okay, so David Hernandez wasn't the best, but he certainly wasn't the worst! What's up with that?

Ramiele was really good until it got to the final 12 and then I don't know what happened to her.

Still, there is at least 4 people there that should have gone before her.

ramiele is/was good as far as her voice goes. but she's not a performer.

like i said before, the girls aren't so great this season. the guys are doing a great job though.
archuleta's vocals are real good but he needs some more pep in his step dont'cha think?

It is kind of hard to pick a favorite this year because there hasn't really been one that has been totally consistent as far as the judges are concerned. David A is so cute you just want to pinch him and he has a good voice. He wouldn't really be a pop star I think he will fall more into of what Clay Aiken has been involved in.

Is it just me or have you noticed the little quirks that each contestant has??? For instance have you watched David A's mouth while he sings, he licks his lips constantly, better in recent weeks. Brooke has this funny thing that she does with her mouth when she is listening to the judges. Raimele just always looked like someone was going to haul off and hit her, she looked scared to death each time after she sang. I think her lack of confidence is what got her booted.

I wonder if they will have an elimination tonight because of Idol Gives Back? They didn't last year, but then that means that two go home the next week? Should be interesting.

LOL, someone had a poster saying something about David A. licking his lips! The elimination will be Thursday night instead of tonight.

Totally shocking!! I think that those who end up going first seem to be in the most danger because their performances become forgettable. Did you see Paula's mouth hanging open when they announced he was gone. It was definitely a shocking turn of events last night.

what a load of bull****!
i was so p-o'd after they announced he was going and received the least amount of votes..
and everyone gets bent out of shape when simon tells someone how "forgettable" their performance was,.. it's true! that kristy-lee cook girl has a good country voice but her performances are indeed forgettable! she doesn't stand out one bit. she should be gone already!

and how many times will syeesha be in the bottom 3 and not get sent home?? she's another one with a pretty voice ( though a bit pitchy everytime she sings a song) that doesn't stand out! she's boring!

just wrong, wrong wrong.
[Mad]

only 3 girls left and NONE of them should win this if you ask me. the top 3 to win, should have been david a, david c, and michael johns.

come to think of it, brooke and jason are quite good in their own way, i like them......but not to be the next American Idol.

David A. is a weenie. He forgot his words...and then everyone forgot that he forgot them.

David Cook seems nice.

I like Carly.

I'm not watching Idol, but I've seen some of the auditions of the contestants and I'm keeping up on the gossip...which is hard to avoid on Yahoo.

Yes, Eddie Munster really captures the spirit of David...can you say Eddie Munster autobiographical movie starring Davie? [Wink]

I am so sick of all this crying this year. I mean literal crying, with the girls. That was one reason I was SO glad when Ramiele got voted off. Now Brooke has taken it up, boo-hooing all the time. The only one of the girls I remotely like is Carly, but I don't think she should win. Nowheregirl, I said those exact words about Syesha to my mother last week. She's in the bottom 3 every week. Just go already! I just love David Cook. Like I've said before, I would buy his album. David A. is okay...my mother just loves him, LOL, but I think he's just okay. I kinda like Jason, too. I bet it will be David/David/Jason in the top 3. What do you guys think?

well carly stepped it up last night, thank goodness. she's done poorly lately.

i totally agree about the crying! brooke....oh my... let me say she's become sickening. whenever the judges do their critique after the performance, she talks back and discusses or pleads her case when she should be quiet and take the constructive critism.

what do you guys think about her stopping the song to start over?
i do love that song she did.. YOU MUST LOVE ME..i just don't think she had the voice range for such a song though.

david cook was good. they all did as best as they could with the songs they sang, broadway numbers are tough!

i think brooke will go home tonight.
my local radio station was begging phoenix to vote for brooke to keep her in (she's from my hometown).... i was like.."why?????" she's done!
