Okay, so I bought this movie and watched it this afternoon. It's honestly not a bad movie. If you're looking for a reincarnation of a pretty great 80s flick, IMO, this isn't the movie for you. If you're scared to watch violent movies, this isn't the movie for you. If you're not afraid to give newer movies a chance, a sequel at that, then watch this movie. Corey Feldman did a good job reprising his Edgar Frog role, and he was actually pretty funny. Angus Sutherland...pretty hot! [Wink] The Tribe certainly wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but it sure wasn't the worst, either.

I was confused, though. I thought Jamison Newlander (Allan Frog) was supposed to reprise his role, but he didn't. Also, I guess the scenes that Haim did shoot were edited out, cause he sure wasn't in the movie, unless he popped up in the alternate ending, which I didn't watch.

Anyway, those are my thoughts on Lost Boys: The Tribe! [Smile]

I won't rush out to get it but I'm sure I'll see it one day. Nice to see a positive thread by someone who has actually seen the movie that everyone else seems to hate having not seen it...

I agree with you Nomster...See the movie first, then make your judgements after. You might be surprised. You just never know unless you watch it.

* I have no intention of renting this movie, but just wanted to ask if anyone else saw Corey Feldman on THE SOUP this weekend when they were plugging it? My God, HE LOOKS THE SAME AS HE DID 20 YEARS AGO! How is that possible?????? Hahaha!

I used my netflix to view this sequel of the great original. It wasn't half bad for what passes as viewing fair this decade. They use some of the same songs and try to re-create some scenes in the same light as the original.

Haim shows up after the first few credits, and I believe the other Frog brother is only on the alternate endings, as well as Haim in the alternates endings.

Watch out for the sax player.

LOL The fat sax player, that was frigging hilarious.

I bought the movie too on the day it came out, mostly because I wanted to see Corey Feldman in the role again and I'd been reading the comics (which the movie is a prequel to).

Spreadking is right, Haim shows up in a scene during the credits and also during the alternate scenes, where Allan also shows up (blink or you'll miss him though). I wish I knew what happened to lead up to that, but it'll probably be explained in the comics. If there's a Lost Boys 3 though, more Sam please!

The movie itself is good, but as a sequel it's lacking. Just pretend it's a movie on its own and you'll enjoy it more. I also dubbed "Emo Boy" (it's the haircut, the guy who was hitting on the leading lady) my favorite character, and wish to see more of him. I also recommend reading the comics ("Reign of Frogs") if you're confused about the plot (Also, Michael and Grandpa both reappear).

I also liked the vampire pranks. The movie is probably a little vulgar if you're sensitive to that, but that's horror for you.

It was better than I expected, you gasp in fear when that dreaded word is uttered. STV. Straight to video. Surprised they didn't try to plug it more for the theaters, I thought maybe the Blade crowd would like it. It did seem Blade-ish at times with the gore. Autumn Reeser was her usual adorable OC self with fangs. Corey Feldman reprised his frog brother role to the hilt with charm. It was nice to keep the Sutherland name intact with the head vampire, and he played him well.

I enjoyed The Lost Boys: The Tribe. Great sequel to TLB, with obvious improvements in the special effects, etc. Good story as well.

It was interesting to see that Corey Feldman had aged very little in the 20 years since the '87 original - amazing. He honestly didn't look that much different than he did in the '80's.
