Devolution here,

A great movie for a movie that I thought had limited potential. Liv Tyler was great. The build up was great throughout the movie.

I'm trying to watch this with Mrs Noms at the moment but she keeps making me turn it off...she's weak that way!!!

not many horror movies scare me but then commercials for this one really freaked me out (they came out when my husband was on a trip and I was the Man Of The House!)

The one bad thing is someone was talking about the upcoming sequel and they mentioned who would be in it which leads me to believe SPOILERS I know who lives at the end of the movie. END OF SPOILERS

There's a sequel? I kinda figured it would be. No spoilers from me, though. [Wink] I suppose I'll watch the sequel--I just thought the movie was okay. Honestly, I think I was expecting more. Oh well.

Devo, I just couldn't get into this movie: The only good part IMO was the scene involving a case of mistaken identity and a loaded shotgun. The couple were almost as irritating as the intruders. Liv Tyler looked good, and that's about all the praise I can give it.

i agree kash not that great a movie at all not sure if i will even see the sequel?

The Strangers was basically a subpar ripoff of the 2006 French film Ils (a.k.a. Them). I enjoyed the original much better. At least in that I wasn't so annoyed by the protagonist couple that I was actively rooting against them.
