I had a Tandy Color Computer 2(paid $199.99 or should I say my parents did). I still have it and it works great. Every now and then I get in the mood to play the old schood games.

we had a commodore 64, and i loved that heap of lol, i wish i could find some of the games we used to play on it...those rocked...and will always be classics

I had an Atari 800XL, followed by an ST, followed by an Amiga 2000.
At one point, I actually toyed with the idea of making this site "boot up" like an Amiga when you visited it. I may yet go with this idea in a later version if anyone likes it...

radio shack's trs-80 which used the tv I still have in my spare bedroom for a monitor. It came with a BASIC programming book, and used a tape recorder as a storage drive. 16k!!!!!!! I have wristwatches with more ability than that thing had.
You could spend 8 hours writing code to see a stick move on the screen.

I also had a commodore 64 vic 20. My father worked for Tandy corp. and we always had the "best" electronics on the market, lol. :)

Nick, I don't know that much about it. I just read a report on in about 4-5 months ago. They also talked about it on the TheScreenSavers on TechTV. I will see if I can find anymore info on it. I will get back to you on that.

All the rich kids had an Amiga 500 with a loads of kickass games...
but it was really between 2 machines: you were either Commodore 64 or Sinclair ZX Specturm + 2
I had a Specturm with some very cool games(Rambo, Streethawk, Ad Astra, Mikey et all) but the real question is...could anyone stand the epic loading time for that platform classic 'Odd Job Eddie'?

Wow, i had a Commodore 64 too! i thought it was fab! My Brother had a Spectrum, that really bad loadin noise for 5 mins before you played a game!
Any one remember playin Rainbow on their Commodore? or Dizzy?
Those were the days huh! nice placid games instead of all the gore now!

ZX81, then Spectrum+ then BBC Master Compact. Still have the Spectrum+ and the BBC - great machine, loved programming on it.
Nick, go with it (the booting up thing), I still use my A1200 as it's my dialup machine, feeds net access to a bunch of other computers but it's probably getting replaced soon, friend is giving me access to his ADSL connection even though he's 1/4 mile away (wireless networks, gotta love em :)

An Apple Mac - 1987 I believe we got it. It was in good nick up until 2001 when me and my brother decided to smash the bejesus out of it on our front lawn with golf clubs.
I used to play a game on their called 'the hotel caper' that I could never figure out how to finish.

I wish that I had a Sinclair ZX. I have a Poqet PC, first released in 1989, and a lot of accessories that I will never part with. It was originally priced at a whopping $(US)2,000--and it didn't even have backlighting for the screen! I picked one up for a couple hundred bucks a few years later when a surplus house bought up the remainder and started unloading them. Not really useful today, but a trendsetter of its day.

I still have ATARI 2600 BTW. My friend modded it also so it has heaps of games built into it to save me swapping over cartridges.
River Raid will always be my favourite 2600 game. Enduro is a close second.
