The other day we wer watching THE SIMPSONS and Homer keeps playing the song Heroes by DAVID BOWIE

my friend said "oh that song...what movie was that in again?..."

I said "PRETTY IN PINK?" because I rememeber hearing that the original ending was to be Andie and Ducky dancing to Heroes.

BUT we all know they didnt go with that ending so.... Can you think of a popular movie that Heroes was prominintly feature in?

IMDB Song Search Keyword: 'Heroes'

'Pretty in Pink' indeed! How many drinks did you have? Come on! I hope you weren't driving!

Incidentally, did it have to be from a movie? Could your friend just be familiar with the song and assume it was heard in a film? I have friends that do that all the time. If someone said to me, "What is that from?" I'd say, "David Bowie's greatest hits."

Mamamia! I would never call you a liar to your face! Nor would I ever admit to letting your tyres down when you were shopping!

But on another note...

It's not that I don't believe you... but the original ending was shown once, to one audience... 24 years ago! But the song itself is quite famous (I think it turned up on a commercial recently). It just seemed like a big logic leap to make.

Incidentally, I'd always heard that the original ending song was OMD's 'Goddess of Love' (which is what the IMDB says - not that it's always accurate!) The 'Heroes' thing sounds familiar too, but I don't know why. Where did you hear it?

oh this will drive me nuts trying to remember where I read it. I have so many books on 80s movies and such that it quite possibly could have been one of those. OR something I read online? This will drive me nuts now. But i;ll try to remember

I was thinking about that commercial too. I cant remember what the product was for - but it was like in the past 3 years - they had a commercial with heros in it and Im pretty sure thats what my friend is referring to.

As for Christine F , Ive been dying to see that movie but I dont think the guy Im talking about would have seen that one. Maybe . Have to ask him.
