I just read on the internet that Richard Bright, 68, who had roles in all three of the Godfather films was hit and killed by a bus in New York City. I went and looked him up on imdb.com and immediately knew who he was because he was in one of my favorite Christmas flicks, The Ref. He played Murray, Gus' (Denis Leary)driver. He will be missed and I will forever hear him saying "Where's Gussy"!

Yeah I had read that. I haven't seen him in anything, or that even looked familiar, since The Ref.

So strange, I walked right by the corner where this happened as the ambulance was pulling away. I didn't realize until tonight that it was richard bright who passed away. Sad.

Great character actor. What a shame. I saw that he was married to Rutanya Alda, who was in the Deer Hunter (I know- a 70's movie!), one of my favorite movies. He was in Beautiful Girls, a 90's movie!, another one of my faves. What an extensive career. RIP!

Okay, I get it...I've given up on the 80s Avenger shtick so let's just put the "decade thing" to rest...I get that it annoys people so I just want to start fresh.

Either way, I find it sad when an actor of any stripe dies. No matter how old or young, I can't help but feel that they could've had at least one more role left.

Oh, well.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff
