Hi..I know this may sound a little weird but within the last few months i've really taken to some songs played in some of my favorite 80s movies i've seen thousands of times. And the fact im really just now noticing is funny..anyway here are the songs i really enjoy now 20 years late..but they are good songs.

1 Randy Hall "All Night"(played & performed in Cant buy me love at the coloumbus dance)found it on youtube and cant get it out of my head!

2 George Duke's "Mean To Me"(played in The Heavenly Kid when lenny is at lunch sitting at the table with sharon and other girls and melissa is picking at her food looking at lenny in the sadest face)also on youtube its a great tune!

3 Robert ? "Feel the Heat"(played in COBRA when Cobra is riding in the truck taking the blonde to the hideout)

4 E.G. Daily "A Little Luck"(played in Better off dead at the school dance)

5 Rupert Hine "With One Look"(Better off dead the end credits)

6 Martin Ansell "Shine"(Better off dead the ski scene with lane & monique)

7 E.G. Daily "Better Off Dead"(better off dead)

8 Dramarama "Anything"(played in Nightmare On Elm.St.4)guy was doing karate in garage

9 Tuesday Knight "Running From This Nightmare"(Opening Scene credits on Nightmare on elm st. 4)

I think thats bout it but i really have been listening to the 9 songs everyday for the past few months now.. How bout you? Do u have any 80s songs used in movies that you like but wasnt all that popular on the pop charts?

completely agree. i LOVE this song. it's my favorite song on the Better Off Dead soundtrack. [Smile]

here are some i can think of right now...

troy hinton - "where's the fire" (She's Out Of Control)

psuedo echo - "his eyes" (Friday the 13th V...where Violet gets hacked while dancing) also.. great song to listen to around Halloween time.

honeymoon suite - "what does it take" (One Crazy Summer, played at the end)

johnny kemp - "birthday suit" (Sing soundtrack)

btw, dig on the dramarama song!

C.T. .. the tune from "The Heavenly Kid" you mentioned is excellent.

Ronnie.. "Where's the Fire" is such a hidden gem.

Here's a couple of mine:

1. Wind Me Up - 3 Speed (RAD)
2. Body Talk - Imagination (Making The Grade)
3. Catch Me (I'm Fallin') - Pretty Poison (Hiding Out)
4. Do It To You - Hot Date (Spring Break)
5. Never Be You - Maria McKee (Streets of Fire)
6. I'm In It For Love - James House (Fire With Fire)

Boys in town is a very well known song here in Australia.

It is on the radio all the time.

I think it's time for me to watch the legend of Billie Jean again.

I know it is a major chick flick but I love it.

One of those 80's movies that I have not seen many times, so that is good because I will be able to enjoy it that much more.

Oh yeah why are we here: lesser known songs: mmmm:

1. That's good - Devo (Thrashin')
2. Touch the sky - White Sister (Thrashin')
3. Wild in the streets - Circle Jerks (Thrashin')

Someone mentioned E.G. Daily -

4: Waiting - E.G. Daily (The Breakfast Club)
5: We are not alone - Karla DeVito (TBC)
6: Fire in the twilight - Wang Chung (TBC)

I only discovered this one after watching a great movie, and now I love it:

7: Arthur's Theme (Best that you can do) - Christopher Cross (Arthur)
