I vote DEBBIE GIBSON. TIFFANY was a good singer but DEBBIE had more good songs.

Tiffany was a more diverse singer, she sounded good doing rock and pop. Debbie had more hits and longer shelf life though, she set the precedent for people like Hilary Duff. Funny, that both girls eventually graced issues of Playboy, so did Belinda Carlisle if I recall.

Debbie was nice though, I still have a signed picture of her that came through the mail in the late 80's. (god I hope it's real). I will never forget the day I saw this video of her's on much music, I was floored that she had to do this or maybe it was sleazy management.

I always like Debbie Gibson, I couldn't believe she wrote all her own music when she was only 16.

The song "Only in My Dreams" flashes me back to when I first saw MTV...and they played it all the time. I loved her clothes.

She did have alot of good stuff. I only ever liked a couple of Tiffany's songs...but she really only did just a few.

This was my favorite Debbie Gibson song:

Foolish Beat

I like the little move she does at the beginning. It's like "I could have had a V-8".

I had that exact same hair cut in my senior year of high school.

Debbie had better music but I liked Tiffany in Playboy better

Debbie Gibson actually played at the high school I attended (five years after I had graduated) USA network used to have one of those afternoon daily dance shows where they had a contest in which the high school that sent in the most postcards would receive a live performance by debbie Gibson. The winner with over 200,000 more postcards sent in than the second place school...Mandan High School; Mandan, North Dakota.

I vote Debbie Gibson. She only had two hits here though - Lost in your eyes and Electric Youth.

Tiffany had hits with "I think we're alone now", "Could've been" and "I saw him standing there" which is my favorite of hers probably because it's a Beatles cover.
