Devolution here,

I was watching White Water Summer, and they are playing the song Aphrodisiac Jacket which is pretty great. I happen to like some of their other songs too. Any feelings?

Awesome band. I think they're probably more popular now then they were back then.

I have most of their stuff, even when they were first called Southern Death Cult, then just Death Cult, then Cult. The Love album is a personal favorite of mine.

Just listening to the Dreamtime album, forgot how much I used to like stuff like Horse Nation, Flowers in the Desert and Spiritwalker. I think I read that Ian Astbury lived in Edmonton in his youth near the reservations, so he got his affinity for the North American first peoples. Makes sense, I believe he used to wear war paint in the early days.

I love love love their Sonic Temple album....Edie is probably my favorite song from the album. Of course like She Sells Santuary, but beyond this song and the ST album, not too familiar with their other work.

Ressurection Joe is a great CULT song, defo one of my faves.Best album for me was DREAMTIME which came out just before the huge LOVE album.
I once saw lead singer Ian Astbury at a MISSION concert, watching from a balcony.
