The Cold (1984)
Terrible. I would bet money that no one else has ever seen this. Nevermind that the masterminds behind this also made The Giant Spider Invasion, I lost count of the endings it had. Oh it's over...no it's not...oh NOW it's over...nope, dead people were not really dead. But, I have to say, if you love to waste time watching stupid, low budget, not scary horror movies like I do, go for it. I got this at Half Price Books in a 50 movie package of horror movies for $5.

I attempted to watch Deadly Friend- could not make it past the first 30 minutes. I must be impatient or maybe I don't appreciate alot of the old cheesy movies anymore?

It's crazy to think that Johhny Depp was very close to playing Corey Webster. I like Depp but glad that Josh Brolin is in it.

In Love and War (1987)

"This movie is an account of US Navy Commander James Stockdale's 8 year imprisonment in North Vietnam.
During his confinement in such camps as the infamous "Hanoi Hilton", Stockdale, among other senior officers,
led a resistance group against the North Vietnamese, facing torture, isolation, and starvation in attempts to break their wills.
Back in the US, Stockdale's wife, Sybil, begins working with other POW wives
to try to get information on their husbands and to inform the world on their treatment. (IMDb)

This was a decent tv-flick based on true story.
Starring Jane Alexander, James Woods, Concetta Tomei, James Pax, Haing S. Ngor and Stephen Dorff in his first movie.

Just watched Overboard (1987)
Believe it or not but this was the first time i saw the film.
It was surprisingly good, perfect sunday movie.
Russell, Hawn and Herrmann were great
and it was fun to see Roddy McDowall once again as a butler in his first film after Dead of Winter.
I also enjoyed Alan Silvestri´s score and the Randy Newman end credits tune.

I would love to see Catch Me if You Can!

Watched Harry & Son (1984) yesterday.

It was a very good drama directed by Paul Newman.
Starring Newman, Robby Benson, Ellen Barkin, Wilford Brimley, Judith Ivey, Ossie Davis and Morgan Freeman.

Awesome cast, funny and touching story and nice Lake Worth, Florida locations.
Check it out!

Surfacing (1981)

"A young girl and her friends set off on an expedition into the wilderness in order to find her missing father."
(IMDb)

This was interesting little low-budget flick based on Margaret Atwood novel.
Starring Joseph Bottoms, Kathleen Beller, R.H. Thomson, Margaret Dragu and Michael Ironside.
I was surprised to see Beller nude in this one [Smile]

The Georgia Peaches aka Follow That Car (1980)

"Two sisters & their moonshinerunning boyfriend outwit the Dragon Lady of the Southern crime belt
in this comedy car chase / action-packed undercover investigation story." (IMDb)

This was a pretty funny Roger Corman produced pilot for a proposed TV series.
Starring Dirk Benedict, country star Tanya Tucker, future Berlin singer Terri Nunn,
Sally Kirkland and always funny Burton Gilliam.

Nice car chases, bar fights, stupid cops and cute Tucker and Nunn as the "Honeysuckle Sisters".
If you want to see it, get Roger Corman's Action-Packed Collection from Shout! Factory.

Cocaine Wars (1985)

This was a decent b-action flick but i have to say that i expected a lot more.
It was directed by Héctor Olivera and the cast includes John Schneider, Kathryn Witt and Federico Luppi.

Car chases, explosions, fun one-liners, shooting and fighting.
The best parts are in the trailer except the love scene [Wink]
