Picked up a worn out, second hand vhs copy of a movie called STEELE JUSTICE, starring Martin Kove (Kreese from KK) as John Steele, Vietnam vet and one man army, out to avenge his friends death... damn thats manly!! This movie is so ridiculous, it's great! Seriously, if you ever come across this one, pick it up!
And then I watched THE NEW KIDS, I love Spader as a *******... Steff, Rip, Mr. Richards... take your pick! Lori Loughlin..... soooo cute!

P.S. am I the only one, who found it borderline creepy, that the dad refered to Lori, his daughter's body as "that sexy little body of yours"??

Come to think of it, Sean S. Cunningham directed the movie. And he was also the director of the first Friday the 13th flick. So, he was one of the creators of the friday rule: If u even think about sexy thoughts - u gonna get killed. I know that it was used also in earlier movies, but it sure was one of the main themes in the friday series.
I mean, what was Tom Atkins thinking
I´m really happy that good old Sean S. is not writing or directing my life. Hey wait a minute... what are you doing here? Put that machete away...and that silly old hockey mask too. The season is over... Detroit won... Aaaaaaarghhhhhhh!!!

Watched the newly-released Blade Runner: The final Cut last night. That movie is still awesome - the imagery and environment are superb, even if we will have to go some to get LA that bad in the next eleven years....

Got my hands on some really good flicks and doc's... DOGTOWN AND Z-BOYS, RISING SON about skaters, and WILD STYLE and STYLE WARS about B-boys and breaking and grafitti, not all of them really 80's movies per se, but great stuff and a total nostalgia trip.... like fer' sure!
Oh, and then I got SLEEPAWAY CAMP, the first one... classic slasher!
I don't have any more room to put my movies, will have to move soon, or stop buying movies.... naaah!
My name is Jay... and I am a movieholic!

I liked the Angel trilogy a lot. Of course the first one is the best but i just happen to like the 80´s american street feeling and that kind of stuff.

Solarbabies....I thought I never saw it before, but from the first scene til the end, I remembered every one liked I just saw it the day before (in reality, it's probably been 20 years.)

Silver Bullet was in my DVD player the other night. I also read the graphic novel yesterday. I must say, I like a dose of Stephen King suspense about once a month, or... with the full moon! Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!

Yeah, it is very sad and it´s also one of the strong points in the movie.

Explorers - Pretty good beginning and middle, not thrilled about the end. Got a bit too cheesy with the aliens.

Starman - Wasn't as good as I remembered it. Probably because I was a kid when I first saw it. Not bad though.
