Nashville is an ensemble piece with 24 principal character by the great Robert Altman, an amazing observer and anthropologist. It is one of my favorite films, a brilliant reflection of the time spirit, but in the first place a deeply human film - more natural than any other film I know. I can watch this it over and over without ever thinking I already know the film. It's really funny at moments, but also has some very emotional parts. I think of the climax scene as one of the greatest, most touching scenes ever filmed.
